Let`s start analyzing the term reading. What is it? What is intensive and extensive reading? They are known as types of reading.

It was interesting the video of "contextualizing language" because i saw how the student can owned the language and i see many different methodologies.

ResponderEliminarcurrently technology is an useful instrument to share information. We saw the video and it was a nice experience because it shows many techniques which can be used in a classroom to teach reading and/or writing as skills.

ResponderEliminarWe could identify the language context through each activity develop during the class, because it provides information connected with real life situations. In some of them they did not use extra materials like in the role play example but it was clear, what was the purpose of the activity and what they want to show for the rest of the class. According to the level of the students they use vocabulary that activate their previous knowledge and allow them used the language in a natural way. For example singing a body parts song, students not only sing but they touch every part mentioned in the lyric. The activities can be adapted for each group because they only going to use their specific vocabulary in order to use the language in real communication. Teacher has to choose the right material and guide the students during the activity.

ResponderEliminarAfter to see this video, I learned how to teach using the context. For example: in the first part of the video, the teacher first focus on the meaning of the vocabulary, using a song, I thing that the kids enjoy it. at the same time they are learning vocabulary and pronunciation. And they learned how the words are using in context. In the second part the students were teenagers. The way to teach was different because the students were able to explain something with their own words and also the student learns through drama using the role play.
